Just watched this very good DC direct animated feature that introduces Supergirl and has some great battles against Darkseid.  There are some nice touches in this like the way Supergirl flies (like the live action film with Helen Slater).  The Kent farm looks like it does on "Smallville" too.  And Batman is awesome as ever.  Plus they brought back the animated series actors once again and we also get Summer Glau voicing Supergirl.  Well worth watching in my opinion!    :metallica:

Cool!  It's really one of the better of the recent DC animated movies I thought.  I just love these voice actors in their classic parts.  Batman (Kevin Conroy) just has some great lines and he delivers them perfectly.

Well i love  the Turner/Loeb Supergirl comics and have every one (58 so far) and i think i will be watching this film. Great To see Kevin Conroy back as Batman.

Got this on Netflix Blu Ray yesterday.

Ok, where do I start?  I thought the music rocked, the animation was fairly choppy for me, BUT all in all it was well done.  I think it's amazing how far they have come in making the comic world so "adult" in nature.  After awhile even when you know it's animated you forget, because they draw you in to it pretty realistic.  I thought the fight scenes were very well done, and by the end, I really cared about Supergirl.  Pretty cool to see Paradise Island again.  I hope they keep putting out cool superhero movies.

If you are a Batman/Superman Fan, you will dig this one.

Question
why were Martha and Jonathan alive?  Didn't they pass away?
In answer to your question....
I think in the more recent Superman animated series, both the older Kents were alive still.  I always thought it would be more interesting if Jonathon had passed away, but I think they kept him around for story reasons, I guess.
