I had a little time here at work to post some pictures of the storm stuff...

Thanks again for all of your help and support!

Love,

Rick

this is my neighbors yard.

here is the typical scene for days in row.  Tangled powerlines and broken power poles.. over 500 broken poles in our county alone!

This is our back yard, no more fence and a nice tree.....

This was Catherines ceiling.  Massive gallons of water came through onto her floor...

Here it is now, after they pulled the sheetrock down.

This is the front part of the roof that was damaged, most of the back side came off, but I couldn't get any pictures of it.

This was the neighbors drive way with my shingles.  :)

lines to get gas....

home depot in a nearby county

this is a town about 30 miles away from us.

It looked like this all over.

Not all the trees blew down, but some of my shrubs did.....
You must go and buy us a...... shrubbery... and cut it down with a...... HERRING!

here is our kitchen all tarped off while they tear out the sheetrock in our room.

This is what is left of our room!

Here is our rental house.  It's actually bigger than our home by about 200 square feet.

These are some awesome friends that helped tarp my roof.

So there you go.  Fun fun.

This is a link to the sermon I did on Sunday about the whole storm.  I talked fondly of all of you on the forums, just so you know, and shared our crazy story with everyone.  AMAZING.  If you want to laugh and find out what happened, give it a listen.

Incredible pictures.  So happy you are all ok and they are working on fixing your place up so quickly.  Mother Nature can be truly powerful and unforgiving at times.  Glad to have you back with us.

God bless you and the family, Rick. :)

Thanks for the pics Rick and thankful that God protected you and your family even if you had some storm damage. Luke 13:4 & 5

Rick,
I can better understand the tremendous storm and resulting fear and damage to the community that your family experienced after listening to your sermon - When the hero takes a hit.

You're a dynamic speaker......but "Sandy Pattie"!  :roflmao

Reminds me of the big ice storm we had here in '98. I'm glad you are all ok, situations like this are very scary. I hope your house is repaired quickly and life gets back to normal!

Wow, thanks for sharing the pictures, looks like a lot of damage and flooding. I am happy to hear that things will be rebuilt for you, and your family is in a home well yours is fixed

I listened to your Sermon Rick, that was an Amazing Story. You sure have a lot of energy, and interesting to listen to. I am Catholic, but I wish that the priests at the church my Mom goes to would have the same energy you have. It was great to hear that your community pulled together for each other.

Thanks everyone.  Things are better today.  We are finding some things though that were worse damage than we expected, but I'm sure it will all work out.  Insurance will cover most of it, I may have to fix a couple of other things.  They got one side of the roof finished already, the other side tomorrow, then a bunch of water damage to clean up inside.  Unfortunatley they found some rot in the plywood, so they are replacing that too.

I am just hoping it turns out well.

Jeff & others-  thanks for the comments on my sermon.  I love speaking, and do it with a passion.  I really feel like it is what I was made to do.  I figure it is one of my missions to make church interesting and a fun place to learn.  So, I try and be as genuine and real as I can be.  It's pretty fun.

I really appreciate the comments!  Thanks everyone!
