Think Twice about Hotel Glasses

A co worker forwarded me this video, after seeing this, dont think I will be drinking from anymore Hotel Glasses

I was almost shocked, but not really. Out of everyone in the hotel, a cleaning person gets paid the least and usually have to do a ton of rooms in a limited amount of time. Something is going to suffer.

I don't think that I've ever used one of those cups and when I do, I always washed things on my  own first.

Here is the catch. They said something about the do not drink lable on the substance used on the glass before it was rinsed out. As far as I knwo even normal dishwashing liquid isn't something to drink. Many of the things we use to clean with aren't fit from consumption, but we rinse them with "magic" water and they are fine.

Out of all the things that they were accused of, I respect that they attempted to clean them. Sure doing it after cleaning to toilet was kind of screwed up but in perspective, there are less germs on a toilet seat than a kitchen counter. We also don't know if the woman was using the gloves to protect from hot water or if she switched gloves off camera.

I think it was more shock for the sake of shock and that you don't need an industrial dishwasher to clean a glass when people have been using soap and water for centuries.

I just plastic one-time-use cups because they are the safest.  Thats still screwed up though how they clean that...

Oh I just assume that something is unsanitary everywhere I am and try not to think about it because there is little I can do about it.

Most hotels I go to lately just have bottled water.  Makes it pretty clean and safe.

I know what often goes in in kitchens of our favorite restruants and that's why I just try not to think about it.
