Got a call yesterday from my daughter's school (she's 6 in first grade). Apparently she fell from some playground equipment, hit her head, and went into seizures.

She was life flighted to Akron Children's Hospital (about a 20 min flight). I was 45 minutes away and left work like a bat out of hell.

She suffered a concussion, which meant a stay in the hospital, but she should be fine. We finally got home today. She needs to relax, and so do I.

Very rough past few hours.

Glad she is ok. I can only imagine how scary that can be.

Thank goodness everything looks to be fine. Having hurt kids is one of the worst feelings a parent can have. I hope everything is well with your daughter, and you too.

Caity will be fine in a few weeks, she has been nothing short of amazing thru the whole process.  She never complained, stayed as happy as possible.  I wish I had her poise.

My nerves are a little frayed, but a day off tomorrow for both of us will go a long way toward healing Caity and me.

That's horrible, Todd.  I can't imagine what you went through.  I'm glad to hear she's going to be fine.

My prayers are with your daughter and you!

I am glad she is ok.

With three kids of my own, I know what you are feeling.

I can honestly say that the deepest feelings I have ever felt are from when something is wrong with the kids or a family member.

Yikes.

Bless you man.

Todd,

Glad things are well and your daughter is going to be OK. I'll never forget the day I got a call from my daughter's school and she was rushed to emergency with a broken arm. It can be very scary and fortunately it was nothing more than an arm but it sure did look weird the way it was bowed! Anyway, take care and move on. It's really all you can do!

That is some scary stuff.. but as others have said.. thank goodness she'll be okay. I know there isn't much we can do.. but were here for you if you need some moral support.

So glad she will be fine.  As a parent as others parents have mentioned I know how you feel.  But kids are tougher than you sometimes think.  And they heal very well.  Again, glad everything is going to be ok.

Scary Story to hear, good to hear that she is alright.

That happened to my nephew a year ago.

He was out on the football field and slipped and hit his head on an inground sprinkler.

Went into seizures and spent the night at the hospital 'twas a concussion.
