Was Oil Storm unintentially the scariest film in recent years?

Oil Storm is a fake documentary shown on FX over the summer of 2005.  But has rarley been seen since because events in the movie, coincidentally happened shortly after the film aired.  I found it on the torrents and downloaded it again because I can't find a DVD or a station that has aired it since.

In the movie, a hurricane pounds New Orleans.  (They were off by only a week!!! And one letter, the name in the movie is Julia.)  Mayor Ray Negan is in the movie talking about how not everyone can get out.  Many take refuge in the Superdome.  This causes an oil shortage and prices skyrocket.  Things spiral out of control and sends America into a depression with 60% unemployment.  Many old people die because they can't afford to heat their homes.  Terrorism in the Middle East, a bidding war with China and a Houston oil tanker collision further causes prices to skyrocket.  In the movie, prices went up to 7 and 8 dollars a gallon. The movie aired when gas was hit a high of 2.20 a gallon.

A professor showed me the film the week after Katrina.  People had to leave the class room because they couldn't take anymore.  The hurricane part has to be up there with the biggest coincidences in fiction.  Right up there with the short story of the Titan:  the story about a large passenger ship sunk by an iceberg on it's maiden voyage.
