Finally beat this game after putting 100 hours into it. Did all the factions, tons of misc. quests. It's a great game, a model to build upon for the future I say.

I'm taking a break until some bugs are patched out, there's supposed to be a big patch coming sometime in January.  I ran into a snag where the Companions questline won't update past a certain point, so I am stuck in the middle without being able to finish.  I'm able to go on and do other things but there's some elements of that quest that affects everything else I do in the game, so I'm going to quit until I can finish out those quests.  I've gone too far to start over, anyway, that's just not gonna happen.

I just got Skyrim for Christmas! Loaded on my MacBook in Boot Camp, with some setting adjustments seems to run great and looks beautiful. All I did was create my character and escape the beheading. I want to wait till I get back home to really start playing. :)

Are you using mouse/keyboard or a gamepad?

Mouse/Keyboard. It's what I am most familiar with.

I don't think Ill ever get used to keyboard controls.  The mouse is one thing, but WASD just boggles me.

I used to use the arrow keys for movement but they make them too small on laptops!

I LOVE Skyrim but have actually taken a break from playing to blast through the last Alien vs. Predator game. I needed some Colonial Marine Aline FPS break from the endless quests in Skyrim!

I had to start over due to losing my save (see the red ring thread :()  and have just put the game aside.  I've put over 100 hours into this over the course of my two plays and still haven't finished the main quest.  I'll pick it up again, probably just to blow through the main story, faction side quests, and Daedric quests using some kind of guide to help me find the content, but it won't be for a bit because I'm feeling pretty burnt out on the game.  You know when it starts to feel more like an obligation than a game then it's time to put it aside.

I have been playing Kingdoms of Amalur and really, really enjoying it.  It is heavily influenced by WoW, in fact I've never played a game that felt more like a single player version of that game.  The quests (yellow exclamation marks and all), level progression, skill trees, all are virtual clones of WoW.  The writing is excellent, penned mostly by RA Salvatore who you might know from the New Jedi Order or as the creator of Drizzt D'Urden for the Forgotten Realms series.  And the art design is gorgeous, based on the work of Todd McFarlane from Spawn and some early fantastic Spiderman series.  All in all a really great game, with an amount of content that rivals Skyrim in scope.  Highly recommended if youre a fan of the single player RPG.
