It's super cool...BUT you could build one yourself that would be almost as good. I think it's overpriced, the electronic Dradis is cool but that's it besides the engines. Look at the MR Enterprise, not those are quality electronics in a model.

Buy this kit and toss one of the maniacs on the RPF a few Benjamins to do the build with the engine lights.

I don't really disagree Bryan, but certain collectibles just have that something "extra" that's hard to quantify.  The scale of the QMx Viper is nice and big which helps.  It's a limited piece, basically a work of art.  I doubt I'll spring for it really, but it's still tempting.  Now, if QMx ever did the new movie Enterprise.  Or if someone does a new Falcon, I don't think I could resist.  ;)

I think if I ever got something like that Viper and paid $1500, I would probably be obsessing over every little detail and looking for any little flaw. Probably drive myself crazy in the end, so probably a good thing I will never have the money for something like it  ;D

Yeah, the scale is really great on the Viper. MR's Falcon and Enterprise really are the best ship models ever.

Years ago I used to buy a lot more action figures and lower cost items.  But they started to just fill up boxes, so I now buy fewer, bigger items that are a bit more special.  Plus I can display them easier than say 100 action figures.  Anyway, I'm excited to hear about the impressions of this Viper once people start getting them.
