Just got the new podcast up.  Been awhile since I did a "normal" show.  Still went a little long too but lots of great audio to play from you guys.  Anyway, enjoy the cast!

Just finished listening.  GREAT SHOW!  Thanks Rico.  I enjoyed all the comments from other folks too.  Good stuff.

Indeed, really enjoyable. One of these days I won't have guests or plumbers or a trip on the weekend so I can actually watch the ep and send in a comment!

Listene to this on my round trip to work and back this morning. A great episode and podcast (as always) and never too long.

I realised while listening that the effective 'Beta' nature of the EMH 2 probably explained some of his apparent character flaws but couldn't call the comment back :) I still think they'd need to tone it down I'd they kept him around but given the explanation already provided, they'd have had a reasonable excuse to do so.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

This podcast was so much fun! It made my Monday commute to work quite enjoyable (yeah, it took me that long to drive to work today....ugh).

It made me think of one thing with Star Trek First Contact. If the Enterprise-E is the most advanced ship in the fleet, how come it had a Mark One EMH?  Or were the subsequent EMHs (after the Mark II) reverted back to Zimmerman's visage?

I guess the thing with Trek is you have to suspend disbelief when it comes to nitpicky things like this. I was watching Nemesis last night (it was on tv) and I kept pointing out things they could have done to stop the situation.

If intruders beam on to the ship, just beam them out into space etc.

In First Contact they put Picardo in as a nod to the fans. They're telling a story and sometimes go about things in a more complex way then they necessarily have to to make things entertaining.

EDIT: I mean, even in Voyager itself. They have replicator rationing because it potentially uses too much power yet they also constantly power a huge astrometrics lab with room sized screen and countless other wasteful things.
