Mac users, anyone else hate this version of Safari?

I loved the beta that came out before the current version of Safari.  But recently it's been beach balling so I've been using crome.  I thought maybe it was just me.  But Veronica Belmont said the same thing on her show.  The beta worked great but the official release freezes and spinwheels.  Anyone else having this problem?
