Is it just me or does it look like they stole elements from the TNG bridge?

The article is titled: "Beam me up, Gundula" *sigh*
Due to the green screen the employees call it "green hell" (gruene Hoelle).
They also said they beamed someone into nowhere, whatever this means.

I'm worried about the redshirt... ;)

:D
This "moderation island" has a "dialog wing", a "talk corner" and an "explaining room".  :confused
I think you would make far better use of this studio than they ever will!  ;)

Scary, indeed! No idea how I  missed it, it's BIG!
Makes it Best of Both Worlds? :D

They even first aired TNG... in 1990 (and ST in '72). *sigh*
And we only had three channels on TV... (not completely true, there were private stations since the mid-80s).
I now feel old and have the impression I'm living in some kind of development country.

*lol*

"There... are... *count*...*count*...*count*... oh, where was I? Again... *count*... *count*... *count*...!"

More doesn't always mean better! :)

(The actual number is 300 spotlights(?), and they spent 30 mio. Euro)

So many good episodes hidden in just one set, I really have to catch this show! :D

Well, so I went to their homepage http://www.zdf.de/

There are elections soon and the video at the front page is about the green party. Their introduction of the party before the discussion uses TOS episode  elements (music, ships, screen on bridge) and ST analogies!!!

Public TV means these are usually serious and high quality news, so I'm quite surprised. ST really became mainstream, I guess.
