Alright, so this is the situation.

I need to get a wired/wireless connection to a room that is 100-150 feet away from the Box.  Is it possible to do that?  Or would the signal fall apart by then?

My guess is that it would fall apart.  But what do I know?

;)

It really depends on how many walls are in the way. At my parents house my dad built an extension where he wanted to get wifi but the exterior brick wall of the house was in the way. I bought him a wifi singnal extender and put it in the kitchen just on the other side of the brick wall and now that room gets excellent signal strength.

Personally, I like wired connections whenever possible.  It's really not that hard to do.  Find a closet or duct to run the wires through - but be careful if it's a heated duct.  Closets work great.  Of course if you have to, wireless extenders help a lot - as said above.
