New Rochelle, the land of Rob and Laura Petrie from The old Dick Van Dyke show! Your a veteran road warrior now.

The last time I rented a car out of state was at the Salt Lake City airport. The highway dept was preparing for the 2004 Winter Olympics. I spent more time parked in freeway traffic than driving! The city did get some much needed traffic improvements.

My friend Mark would of known that about the Dick Van Dyke show.  He's a big fan of his.  It was an interesting adventure.

When my wife and I visit her grandfather in Alabama we fly into Atlanta, rent a car and drive over to Alexander City. It's actually a pretty nice drive.

However every time I go down I get some major small-town Alabama culture shock.
