I became a Star Trek fan in 1967, halfway through the first season.  I didn't watch Trek at first since they advertised at the time that it was science fiction for adults. I wasn't an adult at the time and thought I should stick with Lost in Space. I gave Trek a try and never looked back (but I still enjoy Lost in Space).

I read The Making of Star Trek when it first came out.  I've seen many of the Roddenberry produced shows after Trek.  I've always been curious about his pre-Trek shows.  That was especially true after meeting Gary Lockwood at the Las Vegas convention in 2001.  He was in the TV show, The Lieutenant.  According to wikipedia, it was on during the 1963-64 season for 29 episodes. I'd love to be able to see it for the first time but don't think it's ever been released to video or DVD.  It would be great to see Lockwood, Nimoy, Robert Vaughn, Majel Barrett, Barbara Bain any many other genre actors of the time.

Another show that would be great to see was Police Story from 1967.  It was  a Roddenberry created one hour pilot that starred Steve Ihnat (Garth of Izar), Malachi Throne (Commodore Mendez), Grace Lee Whitney and DeForest Kelley.

What a great niche NetFlix or Blockbuster would fill by airing old TV shows or unsold pilots.  Anyone out there ever see either of the shows?  I'd love to hear any info.
