Character History
David was recruited while at Cambridge University and dropped out before graduating. No one in his family knew where he ended up—he simply disappeared. The authorities and finally his family, have written him off as dead.

"David" is one of many aliases, and even Sevryll is unaware of his true identity.  When he reveled to her that he was working for Section 31, he lied...telling her that his occupation was the only thing he had kept a secret. He hates being dishonest with her, but he decided that the less she knew, the safer she would be.

They met while she was assigned to the Oberth-class Science vessel, the USS Anasazi, seven years prior to the destruction of Tiberius. Sevryll was the Anasazi's Archaeology and Anthropology Officer and David was assigned to her department as an undercover agent. The planet they were headed for was in the Solarion System.  A Federation colony called Solarion IV, positioned near the Cardassian border, was the science vessel's ultimate destination. In recent months, a survey team had happened upon the remnants of an ancient civilization. A cloak of mystery surrounded the find and Lieutenant Sevryll knew no more than the fact that the excavation was to remain top secret. A classified Federation mission, so close to the Cardassian boarder, made Section 31 nervous and so David was tasked with gathering intel on the mission that the ship had embarked on.

He first met Sevryll when, as new crew mates, they boarded a shuttle and made a short trip over to the Anasazi. He made it his goal to talk to her in private the next time he saw her, as she was typically stoic when they were first introduced.

The next time they spoke, the Anasazi had stopped at Federation Starbase, Lya Station Alpha to pick up supplies and a few more crewmen on their way to Solarion IV. He had been playing dom-jot and had beaten all the willing participants in the station's lounge. He noticed Sevryll alone at a table and challenged her to a match. She stated flatly that she had never played but he wouldn't take no for an answer. He finally persuaded Sevryll into joining the match and tried to instruct her in the principals of the game, but she had watched long enough to master it.

Sevryll made the necessary calculations and scored the first straight nines of the night in her first shot. The crowd roared as she moved away from the table to allow David to shoot. He congratulated her before lining up his cue with the dom-jot ball. He didn't like to lose and did everything he could to beat Sevryll. But by the end of the evening she had won the four hour match. Sevryll was just a natural...a shark... and he was even more enamored with her.

Over the next two years they became friends and then a couple and were secretly married on Risa during her shore leave. A year later the twins were born and a year after that he told her the truth—he worked for Section 31. David avowed that his profession was the only facets of himself that were lies. He told her he would leave Section 31 for good, but before his resignation could be formalized he would have to persuade his superiors to permit him leave. He alleged this was an exceedingly difficult task to undertake, and he warned that it could take years before he could resign completely. She patiently waits for him to deliver on his promise but knows it may never come to fruition.

He stole a glance at the woman who had been following  him since seven am. It was now lunchtime and she sitting at a table nearby, glancing at him over her PADD. Before he could walk over to the dark skinned beauty, his buddies joined him at the table. "Doctor Sheraht is a real slave driver. I don't think I'll ever graduate with that jerk breathing down my neck." Said Andy as he brushed the cookie crumbs from his Academy uniform.

"He treats all the seniors like that, don't take it personal." Levi chuckled as he took the cookie from his friend's hand and stuffed it in his own mouth.

David laughed as Andy punched the thief in the shoulder, but kept his blue eyes on the woman seated nearby.

"You going to the party tonight David? I heard there's going to be a couple of Vulcan girls there," said Levi as he rubbed his bruised bicep.

"Probably..." he replied noncommittally.

Levi grinned and followed David's gaze to the woman sitting two tables away. "Mr. O'Shea has a date."

David nodded slightly and smiled, "maybe."

"Mr. O'Shea is also cryptic. I'll see you later, David... don't trip over your tongue when you stand up to talk to her." Said Andy as he stood, brushed the remaining crumbs from his uniform and strode away with Levi.

David wasted no time in approaching her. The tall, blond academy student strode confidently to the woman's table, lifted a chair, turned it backwards and sat with his chest against the chair back. "So are you going to ask me out, or are you going to keep following me around, pretending to look at..." he took the PADD from her hands and turned it around to see what it was she was studying. A frown instantly crossed his chiseled face. "What are you doing with this?"

The woman leaned back in her chair and crossed her legs. "Your personal records? I like to know everything about my marks before I recruit them. We have much to talk about David."
