Definitely shoot me the audio review Joby for the weekend show.  Legacy will be out in a few weeks so there is still hope.  Gotta pick that one up for our Xbox 360.

I really appreciated your Review Joby of this game on the podcast, I recently got a DS, and been looking for some games to get for it. I might wait a little and see if they drop the price a bit.

Thanks, I enjoyed doing the review and I'm glad you found it useful.  I think your idea is probably good, I have a feeling if you wait you could pick this up used at a reduced price.  The game is not worth 35 bucks Star Trek fan or no.

Some quick recommendations of games I've really enjoyed on my DS:

Cooking Mama (only 20 bucks, and don't let your wife or girlfriend play it or you'll never get your DS back haha)
Starfox (much better space combat simulator than Tactical Assault, and it has WIFI enabled)
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney (great old school text based adventure/mystery game)
Trauma Center:  Under the Knife (surgery simulator, very hard but very fun, most original and innovative game I have played this year)
Elite Beat Agents (haven't played this yet, it comes out tomorrow, but I can tell from the previews that it could be "must buy game of the year" on the DS)

Dont forget Brain Age,

My whole familly is addicted to it, So much so I had to get everyone else a DS for xmas so I can get mine back

As for Tactical Assault, I liked it but I agree that its too short a game to be worth the high price for a portable game. Once you have beaten the game, the skirmish mode gets old very quickly so I ended up selling my copy back for used game credit.

Fun game, but get it from the used rack and you will be happier.

You start with a very small ship, finish missions and then get promoted into bigger ships.

Call me cocky, but if there's an alien I can't kill, I haven't met him and killed him yet.

so no making a cool Starfleet ship (example) adding a bigger engine or big sauser or something like Starfleet asuault (i think thats the name of the game)

You sort of can.

Depending on how well you do you get crew upgrade points.  Its a way of making your systems work better.

The game is very like the Starfleet Command series, though it is a very simple version of them.

I picked it up for only 20 bucks, pretty cheap fun in my opinion.
