That is cool news. I am looking forward to them doing the Viper Pilot helmets, as having an Classic and Modern version of each would look great. Studio Scales would be fantastic as well, just the thoughts of a Classic Cylon Raider is getting me excited.
I really hope that MR will be able to make a go of it without Star Wars license. With Star Wars, I think it enables them the ability to do other projects due to the revenue that line brings in. As well the Star Wars license was allowing them to innovate with things such as the Force FX Lightsabers, I wonder now if the innovation will be greatly slowed, as that costs money, and if the other lines dont generate the revenue that Star Wars did, Corporate will cap the research. I guess if someone flips my thoughts around, without Star Wars, they will be able to spend more time on the other licenses, as I suspect a lot of MR people and resources went to servicing the Star Wars line.
If They have a strong BSG and Star Trek offerings, then the loss of Star Wars will be less painful to me, as I am sure some other company will pick up that license.

I wonder if they will revisit the star wars line in 2009 when they have new material in the new star wars series. Although I am disappointed that they lost the star wars line, especially as they were running out of profitable stuff to make, sure they could redo some of the sabers, like mace windu, but I think, the fact that they were focusing more on helmets then anything else, would perhaps suggest that they were running out of lucrative ideas.

At least with star trek and bsg they have allot of new material to work with, and if done well, the loss of lucas's franchise may not hurt that much.

If you remember they originally gave up bsg, but with out star wars they would be very foolish especially as the series continues to get fans from all age groups and shows no signs of subsiding provided the stores stay focused and good.
