So iTunes 11 came out today and I'm hesitantly saying its a pretty great update. Though from what I heard from a friend, "Play Next" is a feature that has been in other media players for a very long time, but I guess better late than never. So feature list:

New UI and design. Pretty much revamped it for a minimalist design which works pretty well. You can show the old side/bottom bars though if you need to. They did a lot of UI changes too.
iCloud is more fully integrated and you can now see your previous iTunes purchases in your library for easy download.
Cover Flow has been removed (never liked Cover Flow, way too laggy to use when you have 100s of albums) for the new Album view which I actually rather like. Makes accessing albums a faster and smoother experience. Plus the song text changes depending on the album art, which I do like.
Play next, you can now add songs/albums/playlists to the queue to have them play next rather than interrupt your current song. Definitely liking this feature, kind of surprised it took them this long to implement.
New Mini Player UI.
Universal search, now you can search all your libraries for Star Trek Music/Movie/TV show/App/and even stuff in the cloud.
Nice amount of performance enhancements, especially in the iTunes store area which is appreciated. Now it doesn't feel like iTunes is running IE8 whenever it goes to the store. ;)
iTunes DJ was also removed, though I think Play Next was its successor so nothing was really lost there. Never liked it anyway.

So a lot of tweaks, a few new features and enhancements in this update...as I said so far liking it. But we'll see how the weekend goes when I put it through its paces.

I was thrown for a moment, trying to find my way around - but it seems ok. Synching seems faster.

Yeah seems snappier. The old one would bog down my i7 while trying to open, close or sync. Gotta do the update on my Mac as well and see how it fares there, it always ran much better on OSX.

Geekyfanboy

was lost for a bit but slowly finding my way around.. still don't know if I like it or not.

Was very upset and disappointed until I found the "show sidebar" option.  I still can't figure out how to show the column browsers, they're all greyed out for me.

never mind figured it out

Yeah, I've had to restore the menu bar. That Office, Universal-all-in-one-corner button has NEVER worked for me in any program (except for Chrome, they got it right for some reason). They always seem to hide settings in the oddest places when programs move to that button.

I'm just grumpy and don't like changes all that much!

Worst update to get then, this changes everything. Again. And again.

Well I made it look and function pretty much like it used to, so I'll be ok.  I actually liked cover flow and am sad to see it go.  Hope they don't remove it from my phone I'll be really annoyed then.

Glad to see Apple doing a major long overdue overhaul of iTunes. They're not big on totally changing their experience but in this case it is needed. It won't affect my too too much as I'm not really an iTunes user at all and I only keep it for the rare occasional maintainence of my iDevices but I will be updating and checking out what's new.

I'm with Dan. I have it, but the need to use it is so very infrequent.

The down-side to that, of course, is that the next time I do want to do something with it I'll probably be completely flummoxed.

I know it's unnusual here but I don't have a podcast of my own.

Ok, I use the Cloud Reader app to read comics but I can't seem to figure out how to add comics to my iPad via the new iTunes now.  Anyone have any ideas or tried to add files to apps yet?

Rico

Never mind, I figured it out.  You have to choose the device first and then go to the apps area.  One of the issues was I had to unplug my iPod and iPad again to get iTunes to show them - even after a PC reboot.

P.S.  One scary thing was just after I finally updated to iTunes 11 and it wanted to restart my PC when I click yes to ok the reboot I got a blue screen out of memory screen, but my computer rebooted and all seems fine now.  Just another example of how iTunes still to this day doesn't seem to really play nice with even Windows 7.
