Trying to compile a CD of road songs.  Most of my stuff is on the classical/jazz side>  I figured there may be a "rockers" who can offer suggestions.   So hit me with your best shot - fire away :)

Rico

Beatles, Chicago, Supertramp, Billy Joel, U2, Alan Parsons, etc.

Bob Marley, Beach Boys and Ventures, especially if you're going to the beach. John Denver for the mountains. 70s country and western for long overland driving.

I strive for music with a high "sing along" factor...

Just some songs I usually put on a road trip CD:
"Roam"-B-52s
"I Get Around"-Beach Boys
"Get Back"-Beatles
"Holiday Road"-Lindsay Buckingham
"Stand"-REM
"My Life"-Billy Joel
"Blitzkrieg Bop"-Ramones
"Tom Sawyer"-Rush
"Every Little Thing She Does is Magic"-Police
"Immigrant Song"-Led Zeppelin
"Crocodile Rock"-Elton John
"On the Road Again"-Willie Nelson
"Movin' Right Along"-The Muppets
"Stayin' Alive"-BeeGees
"Get Back"-The Beatles
"Highway to Hell"-AC/DC
"Green River"-Creedence Clearwater Revival (anything from them is great for the road really)

Plus I like to put some fun stuff like TV themes and comedy stuff. On a trip a while ago we had a contest to guess kinda obscure TV themes, that was fun.
