Blizzcon 2012 cancelled

Blizzard has officially cancelled plans for their 2012 version of their annual gaming convention, I'm sure much to the consternation of rabid MMO addicts and RTS junkies everywhere.  They cite being too busy finishing off Diablo 3 and the next Starcraft and WoW expacs.  Anyone disappointed?  I was hoping for some new information or even an announcement of the new Blizzard MMO this year.  Guess we'll all just have to wait.

Was rather surprised to hear this.  Not really disappointed, but granted I can't attend these deals either ;)

There's no rule that they have to do one every year.  They have plenty going on this year and we will still hear about it all online - with or without a con.

This surprised me... as I got use to going with The Guild every year.

I don't think they've skipped a year since the first one, but it's probably a good move since this time next year they'll have many products to showcase as well as something good to show for their big new MMO.

They skipped the second year.  Two years between Con 1 and Con 2 for Blizzard.
