AWESOME!!! I attended this very same convention 10 years after this was filmed in 1983. The Roosevelt Hotel on 48th St. I think, right next to Grand Central Station. :)

Gotta love Isaac Asimov. That dude was straight out of Brooklyn...via Russia.

Isaac was the best.  Still one of my most favorite authors of all time.

there's going to be a convention next weekend. i can't go so i'm really bummed about that.
DID YOU KNOW,
the first trek con drew around 2,000 people when they were hoping for a few hundred. a following con drew 7,000!
sorry i can be a real know-it-all sometimes...
