Long time listener, never a caller. Wrote a letter once that Rico read, don't recall the show number but it was in the first 10 somewhere. Finally got around to registering for the forum.

I am geeky beyond belief. Let's just say that the first computer I ever worked with had a printer for the display. I have an extra class ham radio license not only here in the States, but I also hold a ham radio license from the UK. I have radios that range from those with vacuum tubes to the newest software defined rigs.
I'm a big fan of Dr Who from the time I was 10. I caught the first ever episode on a Sunday pledge drive on the local PBS station and have been hooked since. I've watched every episode of every Trek franchise except DS9 and I'm going to do that someday, just don't know when. My current obsession is Chuck which I started watching less than a week ago and I'm currently on episode 16 of season 2. I also like Farscape, Primeval, Being Human, Firefly, Red Dwarf, and most other sci fi. I even remember watching Quark when I was a kid. I never missed an episode of Man from Atlantis.
I spent 17 years with the fire/ems service and currently work as a carpenter in a small locally owned cabinet shop where I build mostly custom stuff for the retail world. I hate snow, love camping and would live on a boat on the river if I could get my wife to let me.

My first doctor was William Hartnell. When I was 10 or so I turned on the TV to the local PBS station one Sunday afternoon and they were showing An Unearthly Child. I was mesmerized. I started watching PBS every Sunday after that. Doctor Who came on at noon. They showed some Troughton, then some Pertwee, and then a whole lot of Baker. I kind of faded away after the Tom Baker years as I was finding more feminine things to occupy my time with. I would watch an episode here and there after that, and then was as excited as could be when the TV movie was announced in the 90's. I jumped on the 2005 return when the first episode was leaked to the internet and just couldn't get enough. Now my 9 year old daughter is my partner in crime where Doctor Who is concerned. Whenever we're in the UK or if the wife is back there a generous supply of jelly babies is brought home to snack on while watching classic episodes. My daughter really likes the McCoy years. She thinks Ace is pretty cool.
I was in the UK in June of 2010 and was able to catch a couple of episodes as they aired in real time on the BBC. I picked up some Jammie Dodgers to enjoy while I watched. Also found a couple Tardis salt and pepper shakers in a small shop in Kings Lynn one afternoon.

Ah Jammy Dodgers, i was sick on them years ago after a zombie film night. Not good, especially when escaping through the nose.
I can well imagine not! Gotta say though, jammie dodgers taking a nasal exit can't be much worse than tequila/pizza going out the same way. Ahhhhh...my misspent youth...it was cram packed with valuble life lessons that have taken me to where I am today...mostly responsible, slightly domesticated and nearly housebroken.
I read that as a tequila pizza, which has now opened way too many doors in my brain lol
