Came across this variation on the Obama poster
Suh-weet! I love it! Very cool. I've always liked that style of art. :laugh:
I'm speaking from a purely artistic viewpoint regarding the Obama poster... so please no heated debates based on what I mean as an art criticism. I liked the way Obama's posters look, I love the colors and the simplicity but they were patterned after the old communist propaganda art style of the USSR, Cuba and China. Yes, looks like a revolution piece, and that was a big part of his campaign, but it also looks communist and that can carry negative connotations. I don't believe Obama is a communist... I just thought it was a strange art direction. That's all I'm saying. :) I do this sort of thing for a living (marketing and design), so I was perplexed by it.
