What the frak?!  I know that they do this with mice sometimes, but they've actually moved on to cats?... It's kind of cool, actually.

poor cat.  I think it would be kind of cool to make an iguana light up, but a cat? 

Of course I could catch my cats smoking cat nip.  That might be good.  :)

In the winter with the dry weather, Lucy "lights up" from the static when she rubs her back on the carpet.  Turn the lights off and -- instance LIGHT SHOW !!

Was that intentional or just a side-effect from being cloned? Here's a stretch of the imagination for you...Could the detection of glowing cells be used in the future to determine whether or not someone/something is a clone or the original? I can see this detail making it into an interesting sci-fi story.
