I just got the TV show Firefly and I know the way they were aired was wrong. Can someone tell me the order to watch them in? :confused
Thanks Amar
Did you buy the DVD's? If you did...then they in order on the discs. BTW.. You're going to love this series.. one of the best.
Here is a list in the correct order....
Serenity
The Train Job
Bushwhacked
Shindig
Safe
Our Mrs. Reynolds
Jaynestown
Out of Gas
Ariel
War Stories
Trash
The Message
Heart of Gold
Objects in Space
All it takes is for someone to mention Firefly or Serenity, and I get an itch to watch the series again!
"...The Hero of Canton, the man they called 'me'..." LOL

No, I got them on VHS that a friend recorded at the time. I vaguely remember hearing about it at the time but never saw any of them.

Cool!
...Hey, waitaminute
... where's "Janestown"?!? :( ;)
Seems backwards...why not play Serenity at the end?
EDIT: Oh, the pilot, not the movie. Definitely Monday morning.
Having read Kenny's post (#2) I don't really need to ask this question but...
Having got hold of a copy of this, I've been dithering about whether to invest the time in watching it or not. I've never seen any of it, and know very little about it but given the sort of things I like (Star Trek, Farscape, StarGate etc), would this be a good bet for my viewing pleasure?
For those interested, you can get the bluray version for 43.00 until the 23rd at Deep Discount DVD using their SuperSale promo code.

Feathers.. this series though short is a must see for all geeks.. you will not be disappointed.. and when the series is over you can watch the movie Serenity as it continues the story.
You're going to love it...

Lert's put it this way. It's the best parts of Star Trek, Farscape, StarGate, Buffy and the old west all smashed together into the best show you've ever seen. the first two episodes aren't the best (though I still consider them very good) but then it really takes off.
It is also one of the most quotable tv shows in existence.
Thanks, guys.
I'll go for it!

You won't regret it. Firefly is one of the best sci-fi series to come out in the past decade.
Yes, sir, Captain Tight Pants!
I love early finish on a Friday!
Just watched Serenity (the original pilot, not the film) and...brilliant! I'm going to love this show!
Yay! Another Browncoat added to our ranks!
I so envy you Feathers.. you get to experience Firefly for the first time..
Dum de dum de dum de dum, erm, well, erm dum de dum de dum, erm I've never seen it ahem whistle. I've got the film Serenity, ahem but its still in its plastic wrapper. Ahem, dum de dum de dum shuffle away.
WHAT... you've never seen Firefly or you have never seen Serenity... either way.. I want your Geek card back... NOW :)
Ha and this was the man who was throwing me into the fires of Mordor this morning for not seeing Return of the King...
:)
What have I provoked here? The downfall of Meds? Woo!
Question for me now is do I thrash through Firefly to see it all as quickly as possible, or do I take it slowly and savour the experience. Hmmm, I shall enjoy deciding!
I stand in front of you guilty as charged. I never saw it here in England (Feathers was it on here?) and i loved hearing all about it and when Jen did her podcast about it i started to get interested so went out the other day and found Serenity in woolworths for £3 so i snapped it up. Will be watching it soon but didn't know whether to wait until I've seen firefly or just jump into the movie.
I don't know that it was on here but I don't get Sky so may have missed it.

Well I would say savour it.. but once you start watching it, it's hard to stop.. I can watch the entire series and movie in a day and love every minute of it.

Well i'm not saying you're getting your geek card back.. just yet.. but I would watch the series before watching the movie as the movie is a follow up to the series.
I agree with Kenny. The moive is good on it's own but you'll get a lot more with the series behind you. Also some things from the movie kind of ruin parts of the series if you haven't seen it yet.
yeah if you don't plan on watching the series (I don't understand why you would not want to) but if you do.. the movie Serenity is AWESOME and a fantastic movie all on it's own.
Right then I'll head off to the memorabilia show next Saturday and buy firefly and then i'll let you know what i think of it. Actually I have seen one episode on youtube so i think i should have t least part of my card back ha ha :)
So did you buy them then?
I'm taking it slow - up to episode 7, just past the hilarious song about the local hero - Jayne. very, very funny.
Ah yes, the hero of Canton.
I know I've posted this before, but I can't resist ;D -
