I met Shimmerman a couple of years ago. He's a really cool guy. Also got to see him in a production of Macbeth. He was very good.

Yeah he seems like he would be a great guy. He really appreciates the fans.

I agree.  I've seen him at cons a few times.  He always seems like a normal, regular guy who also happens to be an actor.

It is really nice to read an article about someone who was truely a fan and happy to be part of the Star Trek francise.
