I liked that movie. I do remember seeing it at the theater, which I would have been 12, and then more recently seeing it on Netflix. I don't think it's on there now though. Looking forward to hearing what Dave has to say about it.

No kidding? In hindsight I should have done that too.
Blue Underground released this movie on DVD a few years ago and the two disc limited edition has a cool holograph of the Nimitz that vanishes when tilted and lot of great bonus video content. :)

As teenager I used to visit my brother while he was on duty at Letterman Hospital in San Fransisco. He was a lab tech at the Persidio military base. That was more than a couple of years ago :)

Great cast, and I love this movie.
I listened the other day, brought back a lot of memories about the movie, will have to put some effort into finding the DVD.
I always love this military scifi stories.
