A new replica phaser is coming from Think Geek. It's looks great and it's also a universal remote too. A little pricey, but if it looks this good I'll be buying.

With regards to the remote...Need it. Want it. Gotta have it. Except I'd have to hide it from my kid. He's always wanting to play with tricorder, phaser and communicator I took to Comic Con. He has already broken my TNG communicator badge.

That looks like a really nice piece. I'm surprised that this is a remote control. It doesn't seem like that's really necessary. It almost seems like it takes away from the phaser and makes it seem more gimicky or something. You'll have to do a comparison with the Master Replica version, Rico. The price is sure better here.

This thing is got a ton of settings and electronics. It even vibrates when you fire it and has many modes of fire just like the Master Replicas phaser from years ago. Great item!

It is a great replica. And my fingernails are not long by any means. I think it's the angle and close up view in that pic. Barely an 1/8" in length - which is the best way really. Too short leaves you no protection where the nail meets your skin. I work with my hands a lot with chemicals, coatings, etc. and trust me - you want protection there.

I know $140 or maybe less is a lot of $, but a MR Replica phase is about $400 on e-bay and his thing is amazing. 9 Different sound effect, including self destruct, my favorite. It has a crystal inside that gold, the P1 operates separately, the sound is loud and crisp, just a total WIN for a TOS fan. These will sell out, buy one! And it can work as a TV remote.
