So, has anyone watched this series? I just caught the first episode and really enjoyed it. The series stars Rachel Nichols and has been airing in Canada. Here's a really brief synopsis...
Continuum is a one-hour futuristic police drama centered on Kiera Cameron, a regular cop from 65 years in the future who finds herself trapped in present day Vancouver. She is alone, a stranger in a strange land, and has eight of the most ruthless criminals from the future, known as Liber8, loose in the city.
Season one will start airing on the SyFy channel on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

I've seen the whole first season last year and I've been champing at the bit for the next season.
Watched a few episodes and enjoyed it. Want sure it was going to get renewed but it is? Great!
They pushed this fairly heavily on whatever channel had it over here last year and while I was a bit wary of picking up another 'cancellation candidate' too early, I did and really enjoyed it throughout its run.
Withe the reveal at the end of season 1 I really hope we get a season 2 to see how it all pans out.

Season two was approved months ago. Expect it to starting airing in a few months.
I dvr'd it. Looking forward to watching it.

Me too, I keep falling asleep while watching shows lately.
Very cool show, definitely on my watch list. Love the future tech and seeing Smoking Man again....I know he has a name but that's what he is.
watched this last night and LOVED it. Very good. Can't wait for more!
Thanks for the tip, gonna check it out
Watched the second episode last night. I'm liking this show. Interesting premise and the main character isn't perfect or invincible. Definitely going to keep watching.
I'm awed to have seen something before you ;) (and I think it gets better as it goes along and you learn more bits and pieces)

I agree, Rico. She's got some good shades of gray in her. Not too hard on the eyes, either.
If I ever get the Warehouse 13, Haven, True Blood, and Supernatural cleaned off the DVR, I might look in to finding this. Damn Syfy for showing everything on Mondays! I'm never home!! :shootgun:

This is coming to Netflix streaming on April 17. I really want to check it out.

I watched episode 1 of season 1 and really enjoyed it thanks to netflix. Looking foward to watching more episodes.
Well, season 2 has kicked off and while it's not the most action packed start it certainly served to remind who is who and what's going on which, I guess, was the plan.
Without spoiling anything, all I'll say is that I came out of this episode with more questions than I went in with, despite having a number of them answered.
Gotta get back into this. Watched ep. 2 of season 1 a couple of days ago. Thanks to Netflix I have the oppurtunity to do so.
Season two premieres on the SyFy channel over here on June 7th. Cast pic.
I really wish they would put this show on Hulu. I really want to watch it. Sounds like a great show.

That photo may actually be considered a spoiler by some...
I'm two episodes in and quite happy that it's rocking along at the moment. It's paired with Warehouse 13 on Thursday nights (I think) over here.
Finally watched episode 3 today of season 1. Pretty good episode.
I've been enjoying season two quite a bit. And season three is a go for airing on the SyFy channel in 2014! Great news!

Real world tech spotted on the show. Alec is tinkering with a Raspberry Pi :-)
That's cool it can be used for time travel too! ;)
Up to date with this (episode 11 over here) and only two more episodes to go. I'm glad it got a renewal since it seems to be the one current show I'm really engaged with. A lot of familiar Stargate faces too.
SyFy already carries it in the UK so I guess there'll be no change there.
Finished season two. Really enjoyed it. Bring on season three!
Yes! There's a Continuum thread! This is probably the only series I currently watch on television. Been watching since episode 1 and it's a great series, very underrated. I think you guys should do a podcast on this, even if it's a short one.
It is a great show that every Sci-Fi fan should be watching. We seldom get a serious SF show on TV with a female lead that isn't a fantasy based show (like Buffy, Lost Girl, etc. - those shows are cool too). Plus, the time travel elements and being stuck in a different time are handled very well. Rachel Nichols is fantastic too. Everyone get caught up on this series and ready for season three in 2014!

Yeah, I've been watching and loving this for a while now.
Way behind on this series.
My husband and I finished the first and second season of Continuum, on Netflix, a couple of months ago Netflix. We were addicted, devouring two episodes a night, and when it was over we struggled to find something just as good to fill the void. So far we haven't found a show we both like as much as this one. So we're watching DS9 instead. :)
I looked it up online to see when the next season would air. It's coming back in April. We don't have cable, does anyone know of another way to watch it when it comes back? Does SYFY air shows online these days? I think they use to do that with BSG and Eureka.
I like the premise and thought the main character was interesting. She's a mom/peace keeper who simply wants to return to her own time to be with her family but instead, she has to be satisfied with saving the world and the future her family exists in..IF they still do. There were only a couple of "eye-rolling what the heck? Why did she do that?" episodes...at least for us. The majority of the episodes are well written and the acting is great.
we like it too.
Got another thread going on this series. I've enjoyed it from the start. I'll merge the threads.
Sorry. I did a search before I started the thread, but nothing came up. Maybe I mis-typed "Continuum".
I need to get caught up on this, I started watching it last year and sort of lost interest.

No problem. I had to search for the thread myself - but it did come up for me. It's a very cool series, but I think the only way to see it as it airs is to get cable.
Guess I'll be waiting for Season three to come out on Netflix. :D

Keep an eye on iTunes too. Not sure if they release episode by episode there or if you have to wait for the whole season to show up. Amazon streaming might be another possibility too. But, in the end without cable Netflix is probably the best bet.
Preview to season three of the excellent "Continuum"

Season three has started airing on the SyFy channel. First episode was very interesting. They kind of have shaken up the status quo a little bit. Looking forward to seeing what happens next.
Anyone watching season three? I've been enjoying it so far.
Not hit over here yet, but I will be when it does.
Still on Season one. Need to get back to it.
Season three has been great. Everyone should be watching this smart, cool series.

Seems like I watch the first few episodes, and then never get back to the series until years later. It's a Canadian series so I really should be watching it. Pretty good from what I've seen too!

You can find previous seasons on Netflix. It's very good.
Still waiting :(
Is it me or are the gaps between US and UK showings of these programmes widening again?

I have no idea. The spacing between seasons has been about the same here.
Watched them all on Netflix - fun series but I'm not sure a time-traveler problem should be solved with more time-travel. Is it coming back for season 4?

Time travel problems is always solved with more time travel. "Back to the Future II, III" :)
I LOVE this show... that is all.
Oh, and I really wanted to cosplay this year as Kiera in her Protector's suit and helmet. But I would have had to make it from scratch and my seamstress pals were otherwise occupied. One year, maybe.
Dave and I are catching up on the latest season via Netflix. We have to pace ourselves...He's tempted to watch them without me when I'm too busy, but we have a rule against watching them on our own. We have to wait until we both can and when Aaron is asleep. It's too violent/scary for a four year old.
I always think Q when I see this title..
