Title: Mirco SD card.
Post by: Redshirt97 on December 22, 2011, 07:22:54 PM

Hi all to the form,  I just recently got a micro SD card as one of my Christmas presents. Yes I oped it up early lol. ;)   I am using the card for my cell phone.  I must say it enhances my phone capabilities.  I have considerable more space than i once did. the card allows for 8 gig of memory.  I have already transferred all the pictures I took on my cell phone to the hard drive of my computer. I had also transferred some of my music from itunes and rhapsody to my phone as well.  The last thing I have done is transfer some of my itues podcast to my phone. so far I have transferred 3  podcast.  I acculcy loosened to a podcast for the first time today. However it was not treksinscifi, but another one I listen too.  8)

do any of you micro SD cards with your  cell phone?  any suggestions on their uses.  I can't shot video with my phone so that use is out.

My phone is a regualr cell phone.  I do not have a smart phone. I would like one someday but I don't think I like looking at t he net on a small screen.  on the other hand my brother got himself a smart phone real cheap.

They're so cheap now, I think as stocking stuffers for some of my friends I'm gonna get them either SD cards or flash drives and put some music/movies on them

Yes the cost has come down very considerably  .  I remember getting some for my digital camera  a few years ago and they were expensive and the cheapest was about $20 and it held only 128 megabytes of data.  last year I bought one for my gf mom for ten and it has 1 gig of space on it.

Well, you've got the general uses covered...I personally can't think of anything else you can do with but someone might.

OK I am sure i will find other uses in the future.  using to transfer podcast to my cell phone to my computer is great.  I don't have to listen to podcast soul on my computer now.
