I finally caught this movie and liked it quite a bit. The female lead is certainly physically believable in the part since she does mixed martial arts and so on in real life. She also seems pretty natural in front of the camera. The movie also has sort of a grittiness and minimalism in the way it's directed that I liked quite a bit. Very enjoyable film.
I saw this movie as well, and had the same feelings. I thought the female lead did a great job on this, and the fight sequences were really well done, especially the one in the hotel room.
Definitely agree Jeff. The fights actually looked real in this and sounded real too. They didn't add a lot of over the top sound effects to the punches and stuff. Again, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was.
