Wow!!  This looks really really good.  Love the self knowing, "Scream" type humor (the splitting up stuff in the trailer) and the creepy porcelain doll type figures...looks like a good early start to summer movie season this year in April.  Thanks for posting the trailer.

Anyone going to see this over the weekend?  I think I'm gonna try to get out to see it after the kids are in bed, maybe a midnight show if there are any.

No real plans to see this one anytime soon.  Beside this weekend has two other films I really want to see - "Lockout" and "The Three Stooges."  :)

I'm not huge into horror movies, though I'm more interested then usual because of the Whedon connection. It's doing quite well on Rotten Tomatoes.

This section of an interview with Joss (and the awesome trailer above) is what has me interested in this film.  I love a good old fashioned scare flick, and they don't really make them very often anymore.

"Longtime friends and collaborators Goddard and Whedon envisioned the film as an alternative to "torture porn" movies like Hostel and Saw. "We've had a growing disconnect between watching people getting murdered and 'horror,' which is not actually about murder," says Whedon. "It can contain murder, but it's not limited to it. We wanted to go back to old-school thrilling scares"

I saw this film and I have to say I was let down. It kicks off with a lot of building in the right direction, good lookin' cast, pretty location, so much potential.  And like so many modern horror films trying to be edgy, and gave us no reason to care about the characters.  Then we get into the third act where it just gets silly.

Hey, I have to say I finally saw this movie and enjoyed it.  Had an interesting concept and some cool ideas I thought.  Plus there are a lot of Joss Whedon favorite actors in the film.  Check it out if you want a slightly different type of horror film.

I enjoyed it all the way through.  The last 20 minutes are awesome.
