Title: Blue Ray Player Recommendations
Post by: Meds on September 21, 2011, 01:11:16 PM
As I mentioned on another thread I am thinking of buying a Blue Ray player but I dint just want a player and a PS3 is not a option. The reason is we are thinking of replacing our hard drive DVD player so we want a Blue Ray player that we can record TV shows onto the hard drive.
Any recommendations would be welcome.

We have freeview TV (Through the TV) and at the moment we also have a freeview harddrive DVD Player. Out TV is Panasonic our DVD player is a Sony.

Hmm I'm tempted to suggest you got for a little netbox PC.

This is the bluray version of the one I've got:

It would do everything you need and loads more with the right software and a freeview USB tuner stick. Windows Media Center to record and archive your TV shows, built in bluray player that doubles as a DVD burner all in one little box.

The other option would be get a standalone device, plenty to choose from but limited hard drive space and that's all they do. This is a good resource:
