The U.S. Justice Department is suing to block AT&T Inc.'s proposed $39 billion takeover of T-Mobile USA, saying Wednesday that the combination of the second- and fourth-largest U.S. cellphone companies would hurt competition and likely raise prices.

Yep, been watching this all morning on CNBC. It's not a HUGE suprise, the deal was always going to come under scrutiny and a lot of analysts felt it could run afoul of anti-trust. Really makes AT&T an attractive buy here as it yield over 6% in it's dividend.
Interesting read here. This deal could certainly still happen.
