The Force is strong with this one
Someone needs to offer Arthur Nishimoto a job in video game development with a quickness.
This University of Illinois graduate student has designed an "unofficial" Star Wars game that's pretty much one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
Find out all the extra details and see a video of Nishimoto's touchscreen, multiplayer strategy game in action. Did we mention he's got it running on a 20-foot screen?
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Fleet Commander. Nishimoto originally built the game to be used on the 52-inch TacTile touchsceen, but eventually upgraded the software to play on the school's LCD wall, Cyper-Commons.
Delivering awesome in 3...2...

That's way cool demo! But he will need to scale it to work on say a 10 inch touchscreen. Large size touchscreen's are SUPER expensive.
Looks interesting. Is it a strategic tactics game a bit like the old Trek fleet commander games?
I hope he doesn't get a cease and desist letter from George!
Looks like he based a lot of it off a semi-recent Star Wars game...let me find it...ahh here it is: http://store.steampowered.com/app/32470/ (http://store.steampowered.com/app/32470/)
I should say that graphics, sound and such were based off of it. Gameplay, it looks like he's trying something a bit different. I really don't see that working on the iPad though, bet its murder on the processor. (like most RTSes are) Still, a very neat idea :)
King
sounds like a fun game. :)
Cool
