Ok, I finally got an addon mod for the forum to allow us to embed video and have it work on iPad's and iPhones and show up directly on the forum. You need to use the new embed icon (see picture below). It's the icon just next to the Flash icon in the second row.

After you click this something like what is below will appear:
[embed=425,349][/embed]
Ok, now in between those embed tags is where the magic happens. If you are on Youtube, you will need to click the Share button, then the Embed button there under the videos and you should get some kind of code that looks like what is below here now:
<iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/trH_i850_gA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Youtube uses that iframe code to call up html5 versions of the videos. If you want, you can make the size numbers in the embed tag match the video. It isn't super important, the embed tag numbers will just shrink some videos down a little.
Your final code that you post would look like this:
[embed=425,349]<iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/trH_i850_gA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>[/embed]
Anyway, that's all there is to it. You should be able to use this new embed tag button to embed other video content too. Play around and see what works. One other thing...
This way of posting videos will just allow iPad and iPhone users to see them directly in the forum. You can still just put the full Youtube link in the forum and it will still work normally here and play. But, iPad and iPhone users will just see a link and it will take them to Youtube to play the videos there.
Anyway, hope this makes sense. With so many of us on iPhones, iPads, and so on now at various times, I thought it might help to embed video this way.
Here's an example post. This should play directly in the forum on iPhones, iPads, etc.

It will only look really different if you are viewing it on an iPad or iPhone (or iPod touch too).
