Title: Teen Wolf
Post by: Quarks Ally on June 15, 2011, 12:04:35 PM
While it's a teen drama on MTV, is anybody watching Teen Wolf.    I have them DVR'd so I've only seen the first episode.  But it looks good so far.  I liked what I saw in the pilot.  The ratings appear to be a bit shaky, but with cable networks it's hard to tell what they want when it comes to audience size.  The effects were good.  I thought the wolf makeup could have been a little better, but it is a cable budget.  And for a first outing the writing was pretty good. I have to admit the very last seen of the pilot caught me by surprise.  Anybody else watching?

Nah. The original is a classic - comedy. Not a teen angst drama. To me, this doesn't look like something I'd be interested in...

Teen angst is hard to get past in some of these shows.  But after 10 seasons of Smallville I have gotten used to it. Sometimes it's a matter of how heavy they lay it on.

Actually, this is a pretty good show. It kind of reminds me of the old Werewolf series back on Fox. I think it's a good werewolf show and recommend it.

Haven't caught it yet.  They have a good deal of werewolf action on "The Vampire Diaries" too - especially this past season.

I remember that show; back in the 21 Jump Street days.  Really cool show; I was hooked from the moment they played the song "Silent Running" on the pilot episode. The song complemented the show perfectly.

I just found out about this show and put it on my "to check out" list.  Although, it's not very high on that list. Mostly, I'm hearing "average."  At least full episodes are available online (for now).

Not watching it at all to be honest, I never saw the original either.

I have watched the first three episodes.  I think the show is pretty good.  Very much a teen show.  But I still think it's pretty good.  I wonder if M J Fox will be coaxed into an appearance.

This show really surprised me with how good it became as the season went along.

It is on MTV so there is naturally some teen angst but it's not too heavy on that count.  They did a nice job of introducing some new characters as the season went along.

I really enjoyed seeing Jill Wagner (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1489978/) on a genre show again.  She's defiantly a candidate for the 'Babe or Hunk Daily'.  :love

Loved her on 'Blade: The Series' back in 2006.

Teen Wolf has already been renewed for a second season.

Though I didn't mind Falling Skies more laid back approach to it's finale, Teen Wolf delivered the goods, and swung for the fences.  And in my opinion hit the ball out of the ball park.  Falling Skies, no bombs going off, no bang finale looks a little lackluster in comparison to Teen Wolfs finale.
