No, I am not getting another computer, but am wondering what the general opinion of PC Desktops are right now? My grandmother needs a new PC as her old desktop is getting too old to be used for simple internet. I have too biased an opinion for anything other than build-it-yourself. For a simple Internet browsing computer with light gaming capabilities though, this is overkill and more expensive from what I've seen so anyone suggest a certain PC brand/machine?

Sounds like she could use pretty much any desktop sold at a Best Buy for $500 or less. 4gb of RAM, average hard drive, and a wireless mouse/keyboard & printer. Maybe check out outlet.dell.com (refurbished computers with full 3-year NBD warranties) at great prices.
My church just bought two new Dell Inspiron desktops online for $380 apiece with 64-bit Win7 Home Ultimate, 6gb RAM, 500gb drive, decent video card, mouse and keyboard. They work great!
We have a lot of bad history with Best Buy. They have screwed us every time we buy from them.
On the note of specs, that sounds pretty much like what I was thinking of. But the problem is what brand to buy from.

I am a big Dell fan... Bought em all from their web site. I have two from the refurbished site and they work great, even three years later.
I've also had many good experiences with Dell. My last two laptops, desktop and parents desktop have all been Dells and all the machines we use at work as well. They have great deals on lower end machines all the time.
Of course for a bit more there's always the Mac Mini or Macbook. Or if she's JUST web browsing etc then have you thought of an iPad for her? Maybe have her give yours a go.
Go to staples. good comps and they have great plan for insurance + 24/7 us based tech support.

Looking like the consensus is Dell. Thanks guys :)
