Hmm, but isn't that restricted to the local Wifi? Then it's kinda pointless. iTunes sharing and other services already do this for free. But I guess if you had a ton of photos or documents, then this would have a valid use.

No Tim. This drive has the ability to broadcast wirelessly on it's own. Therefore, you toss this extra drive in your backpack and say go on a long road trip. Bang, instant BIG storage without having to try and fit it all on the device itself. Pretty cool I'd say. Plus it could be shared to other nearby wireless capable devices.

Ah, OK, I missed the import of this on first read too.
Suddenly the use of iPads in car (and similar) with a vast array of content becomes distinctly possible.
That's a neat idea. (and no I'm not talking about the prostitution app!)
Although I've found that my 32Gb is plenty of storage, it would certainly be nice to never have to sync the thing again. I imagine though, this wouldn't work for many files that require iTunes for syncing with specific apps, like epub files for iBooks, cbr files for Cloudreaders, etc. etc. It would be great for streaming video and music though.

Yeah, I was pretty much assuming that limitation too since it provides its own iDevice app and requires other devices to use the browser. You couldn't do a lot of in-app stuff without a much more sophisticated interface to the device (that Apple then wouldn't support).
