Just read that there may be plans for a new animated series of Star Trek.
Not sure about you lot, but I think we are long overdue a live action series!!

I'll take it - although live would be better - I'll agree.
I'd love a new Star Trek cartoon in the same vein as Star Wars Clone Wars
If it's something new, I'll take it!! The cartoon could take place during TNG timeline and include DS9 & Voyager.
i've never seen any TAS episodes myself... maybe i should.
i think an animated series would be a great idea! TNG people would be nice. ;)
If they make an animated series they'll probably ruin it by making it teen trekkies. Just like the Stargate cartoon and dozens of others second rate toons. I'd rather they produce a live action show. If they go with a cartoon it will likely be a long time before a live action show comes along.

I like the idea of an animated series, but not a rehash of the Original Series. Make this a new series.

They've talked a new animated Trek series for years now. I doubt it will happen. Maybe something animated/web based might work (like they were planning before they let most of the www.startrek.com (http://www.startrek.com) staff go). Anyway, I still predict the next movie, then a return to TV in live action form first.
Well, it would make sense since he's already doing a transformer animated property.
If it were as well done as Batman the Animated series or even Young Justice, or Batman: Under The Red Hood,(direct to DVD DC release) then it could be great. But very few animation projects match Batman the Animated series, either in animation quality or writing.

i see. Teen Titans was a good animated show too. too bad it was canceled... :-\
