Since we are excluded once again I think it's our duty to think if an extremely hard question for this one. ;)
Nice prize package.. as for a contest.. You can do a itunes review contest. Everyone who leaves you an review on the US & Canada itunes will go into a hat and you'll draw one name.
I love all of those shows!

Cool idea. Would also be cool to get some feedback on the prizes from the winner if they are not something we may have heard of. These look really interesting.
The iTunes review idea is good. It kills two birds with one stone. Kenny is the contest man!

Me too! I want these!
Don't bother Bryan, you never win anything, remember? ;)

I'm telling you, it's a conspiracy....
One day we should totally rig a contest so only Bryan can win. Maybe do a Treks in Sci Fi 10K race or something!
Don't think THAT would have to be rigged!
I keep telling Bryan you need to actually enter to win. :)
I'm Chalrie Sheen, I'm winning!!!!
I think its because Bryan is a secret Brit and thus excluded as well. ;)
The only problem with the iTunes review idea is that all good TrekSFers have already submitted glowing five star reviews on iTunes for the show long ago!

I thought it was one per account? (I mean you can update your review sure).

If we can't enter then you need a uniquely British question to make it difficult for all those in the colonies who can ;)
Maybe something related to British TV air dates (that can obviously be easily googled by anyone with an internet connection).
(Or for Bryan, award it to the forum member with the most pictures of their own nipples on the board here)

That's what I thought too. It's in place like that to avoid people spamming with multiple reviews.
My idea for a contest is something that might make Rico or our forum mods have to work just a tad bit harder for a minute or two. The idea is to email Rico a suggestion, criticism, additional feature, or website alteration that you feel would best or most enhance the podcast, TrekSF website, or Trek SF community forums. Then Rico posts the entries without names and have the entire community vote on what they think would be the best one or one they would most like to see implemented (no voting on your own idea cheaters!) The winner gets the prize and to see their idea implemented.

Well I don't think having multiple reviews from the same person would be considered "spamming" but King is correct you can't leave multiple reviews.. only edit your previous review.
I have a little idea in my head taking shape, so I think I'm set. Thanks for the ideas.
P.S. Just to clarify on the US/Canada only thing. That's due to the company providing the Blu-Ray sets and where they will ship to.

It would if someone is trying to harrass the creators of a podcast by leaving multiple one star negative reviews, or artificially inflate the ratings of one they like by leaving multiple five star reviews. But it's okay Ken, your idea is great!

I hope the idea is a dance off! Everyone can send in their best version of "doing the Rico".

First of all I'm not looking for your approval for my contest idea. Second of all you are correct that would be spamming if we did that.. but for this contest purpose I would assume that folks would be leaving 5 stars and positive comments. But it's all a mute point since itunes doesn't allow multiple reviews and the fact that Rico has an idea for a contest.

Indeed, if I were a podcaster I'd want as many positive reviews on iTunes as possible :)
I just wouldn't be a podcaster!

I think you need to chill out. Whether you were "looking for my approval" or not doesn't really matter to me but I'm glad to finally know what my opinions mean to you.
For the record, I thought your contest suggestion was a great idea, and said so. A terrific way to spur some reviews on iTunes and maybe pick up some new listeners. I simply pointed out why it wouldn't work for people that have already posted reviews on iTunes. I wasn't implying that using iTunes reviews in the way you suggested would be spamming. I was just pointing out what I believed Apple's reason was for only allowing customers to post a single review of a product on iTunes.
Finally, the term is "moot point" not "mute point", a common mistake.
Maybe you should try to take a step back, re-read the thread and realize none of this was personal until you made it so with your hostile post.
I will harbor no hard feelings and still consider you a message board friend and hope you feel the same.
