I have been to Vulcan, Alberta, it is a farming town. Besides the murals and the Star Trek themed tourist station, it is your typical farming community. They have an annual Star Trek convention, which they look to tie in with their own community parade. Based off the big conventions they have in the US, this one would be pretty low key, with local Trek fans from around the region getting together and have good time, with nothing to formal happening.
it'll still be fun if i go there. :)
