Post by: Rico on February 13, 2011, 01:10:56 PM
Toy Fair 2011 is going on in New York right now.  Looks like some cool stuff on display.  Here's a little starter sample.  See more at the link below:

looking forward to hearing what else is coming out this year in terms of toys and collectibles. Had a look at Hasbro's Star Wars offerings last night, nothing really jumped out at me except for the SDCC exclusive set, but that is probably not a bad thing. Interested to see what Diamond Select has planned for Star Trek.

I have been a little underwhelmed with what I have seen so far from Toyfair. Not sure if it is because some of the companies I like are not there. I was hoping to see more Star Trek, but so far, seems pretty slim, I think all I saw was some pictures of some Mego figures which I don't collect. Sounds like DST doesn't have much Star Trek on display. I am hoping they are still working on the Ships they previewed last year, as they got me excited about that Klingon Bird of Prey. Maybe they will pull something out later in the show.

Yeah, I agree Jeff.  Some nice Star Wars figures, but I don't really collect those much anymore.  Quite of bit of movie tie-in stuff for Thor, Capt. America and Green Lantern too.  I have a feeling the toy aisles are going to be overflowing with that stuff all summer.

I did like the DST Star Wars ships coming out. They are in some pictures over at SWAN.com at the bottom of this gallery:

Thanks for posting the Link Bryan. I like the look of those ships. Was not aware Diamond was producing some Star Wars ships, but nice to see some smaller scaled detailed ships. I am guessing these are a bit larger then the Titanium ships, maybe like the Action Fleet? I had looked at the DST star Wars pics, but did not look closely enough, as was just thinking it was the 1/4 scale figures and Gentle Giant redone vintage figures, so thanks for the heads up on the ships.

Yeah, Jeff, I think bigger than the Titanium Series, the Y-Wing and TIE look like they could be in 1/48th scale even.
