Title: Apollo 18
Post by: ori-STUDFARM on January 29, 2011, 04:15:08 PM
(http://www.onlinemovieshut.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/apollo-18-movie-poster.jpg)

This movie is released at the end of April this year and looks like it could be good!! There isn't much info other than the above poster. That is the astronauts footprint alongside a weird three toed footprint!!!

Apollo 18 was a cancelled space mission from the 70's. This movie supposes that we did go to the moon, but it was covered up. I have heard that it is a "real time footage" style of film like Cloverfield or Blair Witch Project.....

And with the tagline "There's a Reason We've Never Gone Back to the Moon" could it be this years dark horse of a movie!!

With the success of Moon - this was sure to follow.

I found a little more info at this site: http://exploredia.com/apollo-18-official-trailer-2011-film/ (http://exploredia.com/apollo-18-official-trailer-2011-film/)

I like the cg in this brief youtube video

Have you tried modeling cg for video before?
Fan made or not, I'm impressed. :)

Oh, no, don't misunderstand, it looked great, but I think those Apollo Command module and LEM were from a Discovery Channel show. That wasn't studio produced.

With an April 22 release date, I hope to see more.
They say the advertising campaign can cost as much as the film.

They're definately going for a last minute viral campaign. There's an official site that has nothing there last time I checked and an official You Tube which has no video's uploaded yet......
