Gee - didn't even know this movie was a go and they are filming it now. I kind of liked the first one. Nic Cage is back of course. A couple pics below and many more pics here: http://www.facebook.com/comicbookmovies# (http://www.facebook.com/comicbookmovies#)!/album.php?aid=297052&id=364544669803

My favorite comic book hero is back...cool
Still not seen the first one. Nic Cage has been a bit rubbish over these past few years but i really enjoyed him in Kick Ass. Think i will have to go out there and see the first one.
I read some of the comics when I was younger. And I did like the 1st movie. I thought Sam Elliott's character was good in it.
Trailer...

haha...peeing...haha
I was a fan of the comic book back in the day.
The first movie was OK but the most supernatural thing in it was Nick Cage's hair ;)
You know I'm a sucker for Nic (no movie is too small or too bad to turn down) Cage. I'm in!

Me too! I've been a long time fan since the early days, Peggy Sue Got Married is one of my favorite films of all time. Also Birdy, Wild At Heart, Leaving Las Vegas, Honeymoon in Vegas, Adaptation, The Rock, man so many awesome flicks to his credit, the guy can do anything...drama, comedy, action, he's one of my all time favorite actors. And I was super into the original run of the Ghost Rider when I was a kid reading comics. I thought the first film was okay but not that good, but I have high hopes for this one.
Movie comes out on Feb. 17th. Theater standee....
I had to see the first one in the theatre twice, as my wife was in China at the time and likes Nic Cage, and wanted to see it when she got back. I have been pretty good at avoiding his other movies in the theatre since, but thinking that streak will end with this one as the Wife will make me take her.
Sweet, didn't know this was so soon. I've heard the buzz is surprisingly good for this, and I saw it described as something of a reboot of the first take on this character. I kind of hope they do a darker take on the Ghost Rider. Even thoguh the leather, and the flaming motorcycle can pretty easily be dismissed as 70s schlock, I think there's certainly a way to treat the underlying themes of vengeance and redemption in a serious and still entertaining way.
I feel like I was reading about the wrong movie for a minute there. I thought Ghost Rider was HORRIBLE. Not the character, so all the comics fan can settle themselves down. Nic Cage was totally miscast, it was miscasting of the League of Extraordinary Gentleman levels. The most impressive special effect was a tie between his hair and the world where he could pull Eva Mendes. If they wanted to reboot this mess step one should have been ditching Nic Cage. I would rather watch the Ang Lee Hulk then that movie. Okay, I think I'm good now.
I liked the 1st movie. I didn't see it till i watched on DVD but plan on seeing this new one at the theater. The wife and I have enjoyed alot of Nic Cage movies so this will be a must see for both of us. Some of my favorite Cage movies were 'Next', 'Knowing', and 'Con Air'.
WOW!!!
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Official Trailer #2 - Nicolas Cage Movie (2012) HD (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJv2Wno1cA4#ws)
WOW! .....
Pretty pretty pretty good
Idk...I'm getting a sense of cheese out of this movie even more than the first one which is worrysome....I don't think Nic Cage was well cast either, you need someone who at least feels darker in his acting.
That said, I am very interested in seeing it.

I thought I read that this is a pet project of Nic Cage's and the first one wouldn't have been made if he wasn't interested.

Really? Nic Cage actually choosy about what parts he plays? Its the end of the world I tell you! ;)

It could have been worse, he wanted to be Superman! :jawdrop
I like a lot of Nic Cage movies but he would not have made a good Superman. i thought Brandon Roth did a good job though.

I just watched the first one and liked it a lot.
Nice balance of action and wry humor to keep it fun.
I like Nicolas Cage, he's like the Tom Petty of action heros.
I guess that would make Bruce Willis the Bruce Springsteen of action heros.
As long as they don't get cheap and cast Kevin Bacon, I'll look forward to the sequel.
Kevin Bacon is cheap, but Cage is like Tom Petty.... I'm a stranger in an unholy land in this thread methinks.
Saw this new Ghost Rider film today. Pretty standard movie. Nic Cage seemed to be having fun with the part again and the action stuff was well done. Movie does move pretty quick and I think was only about 90 minutes. The story was pretty simple, but I enjoyed it. Oh, I didn't pay for the 3D version. If you liked the first one, you probably will like this movie too.
Waiting to watch this at home. Nostalgia for the comics (and my youth) is not enough to make me head out for this, considering the lukewarm reception it's getting in general. I can wait a few months.
I never got to see this at the theater but it does come out on Blu-ray and DVD on June 12.
Looking forward to finally seeing this. I heard from a friend Nic Cage chews up and spits out the script and this has the best use of the Wilhelm Scream in any film ever.
This is at Redbox if you have one close. And who doesn't! These things are all over town!!!! And one about 2 minutes away!
Saw this movie and then got my money's worth by watching my wife watch it. Somehow Cage does a fantastic job of horrible acting. As my wife says, this would be a great movie for someone that's never seen a movie.
If you do watch this, watch it again, but with someone and watch how they react to the scenes since you didn't tape yourself. The scenes without Cage are great, but wow ... I don't know what he was thinking when he decided to do this.
I just saw this and I agree with X, this movie is awful. The camera work was poorly done, the acting subpar, Nic Cage acting was worse than before and the action kinda meh. Script was also bad. Bad. Bad. The first movie and Prometheus seem so much better after watching this movie.
Not to mention extremely disjointed. It went from one part to the next, being held together with a thin wire. Just...don't see this movie. Watch the first one, it's far more enjoyable than this one.

Yeah. Not a great movie.
I was a huge Ghost Rider comic book fan back in the day and was hoping for a lot in this soft reboot but alas I don't think they did it justice.
I wonder if we can track down the point when Nicolas Cage went from cool actor to a guy who will do any piece of crap??
Cage is a funny one. In some stuff he's GREAT. Like Kick Ass...

It's when he has creative control of stuff that it tends to implode. I mean the script was penned by David S. Goyer. On paper, it should have been great. I can see the potential of the script, but Cage really did a number on it.
While David has had some misses, his work in recent years was much better than this. Look at his credits:

Wow, I had a completely different experience. I had a blast with this movie. Of course it's instantly forgettable, couldn't tell you one thing about the plot or what happened, but I know I had a great time watching. Nic Cage is fine...I mean do you honestly expect an oscar nominated performance in a movie about a dude who's possessed by a demonic skeleton that rides a flaming motorcycle? I enjoyed this much much more than the first film in the series. It's cheesy, corny, popcorn munching fun, nowhere near the calibre of superhero flicks like Dark Knight or Avengers but still a great time.

Cage is a comic book nerd and Ghost Rider was one of his favorite characters from when he was a kid. I'd disagree with the assessment that he'd do "any piece of crap" but I imagine when you command around or about ten million dollars for eight to twelve weeks of work it might be hard to pass up anything, particularly if you believe the rumors of Cage's recent financial woes.
I found this movie to be forgettable fun too, but I did like the first one more. But regarding Nic Cage and how he picks movies, you have to watch this:
Nicolas Cage's Agent (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eExfV_xKaiM#ws)
Just watched this this morning. And I'm glad to say it cost me less than two bucks from Redbox. THANK GOODNESS!!!! I still think I overpaid!!! I just didn't care for it. Not even close to being as good as the first one.
I just remember being very disappointed with the first one, expecting a more serious take on the character. Knowing what I was in for with this one, I enjoyed it a whole lot more.
