Title: How do you listen to Treks in sci-fi?
Post by: davekill on January 23, 2011, 02:44:48 PM
Got a time or place you enjoy the show most?

At Breakfast with tea and toast?
or
In the car going far.
or
At work in your box - as the boss talk and talks.

Share it here if you care - with a photo if you dare.

That's me next to a tree as you can see.

Thanks for helping prune trees today Rico
"A Fistful Of Datas" made the job fun! (in the sun)

Whenever I can, mostly while working around the house, did it today while mowing the lawn.  Didn't finish the podcast though...

More often then not, in the car or while I am on the bike or run. Rico has been my training partner for literally 100's of miles of training and I appreciate every moment of it.

The nasty Monday morning commute to Newark, NJ (1hr 45 min one way) is made more bearable by Rico and the Treksinscifverse sitting in the passenger seat (tempts me to use the HOV lanes at times..).

At work.  On a good day I can get in almost a full 8 hours of podcasts.  Lots of NPR, some comedy stuff like Nobody Likes Onions or Distorted View.  Some Doctor Who podcasts, a couple amateur radio related ones as well as Adam Carolla.  Kind of missing the Scapecast though.  Waffle On, and Anomaly are on the list as well as The Survival Podcast and the RV Navigator.

It's my Monday relief. Every Monday ( unless a meeting comes up) I have TSF, THWY, TMAH, TFTMH, and Anomaly to start my week off. I kinda enjoy Monday's as I know it's a new TSF show to make me happy. My podcast list has been shortened drastically but still
There is filmsack, appytimes, appslappy, writers excuses, knights if the guild, scuttercast, daily bacon, Kermode & Mayo, lee & Dan midnight movie club and Jay & Silent bob get old.

TrekSF is ALWAYS the second podcast I listen to in the week right after TWIT.

I think you want to reexamine those priorities there billybob... ;)

With me it starts me off over breakfast on Monday and continues onece I'm at my desk (unless I'm doing something that can't afford the distractions). The drive to work was my plan but now I'm sharing someone else's car, it's not the easiest thing to do.

lol. Dunno why I feel like I need to listen to Twit first. It was the first podcast I listened to. I remember before podcasting really hit it big I went to read Leo's blog (not a blog I read with much regualrity) and I saw a post entitled "The Revenge of the Screen Savers". That's when I downloaded my first podcast. I guess becuase of that I feel obliged to listen to TWIT as soon as it comes out. I participiate much more in the TrekSF and Extralife communities, but Twit will always be my first podcast :)

I listen to TSF on my commute into the office on Monday morning, along with TMAH and THWY.  It wouldn't be Monday without these!  :D

Since my commute to work is only 3 minutes now and my lunch hour too short I just have to listen at home. Usually at night after the wife has gone to bed.

Now that I work in the office again, I listen to TSF on my commute, either Monday or Tuesday, makes the trip go by a bit quicker.

If TWIT gets any longer I may have to stop listening.  Leo has great panelists, but an hour is usually enough and some of his shows are approaching the 2 hour mark.

I listen at work for a Waste Recycling company. Usually, I'm handling the brick or concrete which we crush for road stone rather than in the shed with more domestic waste.

I listen on my journey to and from work. I listen whilst at work (with the aid of a FM transmitter/charger).....I even have my breaks on the machine. I used to do 12 hours a day- 6 days a week (About 75 hours a week with traveltime to and from work). But they cut the overtime a while back and I'm averaging about 50-55 hours a week.

It is important for me to jumble up my podcasts on a playlist done the previous night to try and get a bit of variety to the shows I'm listening to.....I have an extensive subscription list!! Sometimes Treks in SF is on Monday....other times it will still be there on Wednesday. But thats because I juggle them about as much as possible!!

I mostly listen at work during lunch. I get 30 min. so it takes me about 3 lunches to get through one podcast. Sometimes I'll start laughing and I'll get srtange looks from the co-workers! I will also listen at home if I'm helping the wife with various household chores. Sometimes with just my earbuds or an ipod speaker thing in the kitchen. But Treks in Sci-Fi is good to listen anywhere!

I listen as I record it.  ;)

P.S.  But guest spots I always listen to, usually at work.  Sometimes in the car.

I used to listen at work but now that I've got a 2 1/2 hour commute to and from work every day, I listen then. Makes the annoying commute that much more enjoyable!
