Post by: Rico on December 31, 2010, 09:08:50 AM
For those of us with Kindles, check out http://www.kindlefeeder.com (http://www.kindlefeeder.com)

It's basically a free service to deliver web content to your Kindle.  You can subscribe to various feeds and have them wirelessly delivered to you Kindle each day.  From places like USA Today, Engadget, Time, The BBC, CNN, Dilbert, etc.  It's very cool!   Man, I love reading on my Kindle! :wub

Does it only work with kindles or with kindle software on other platforms? I had a quick look but couldn't work it out.

Does the new Kindle have options - abilities for users with low vision?  I am shopping around for a device for my Mom to use, and perhaps that will fit the bill.  I think I recall some issues with the text to speech options around infringing on audio book sales.

- The Kindle Feeder is for Kindle's only (hence the name).

- As far as vision issues, there are two things you can do.  First, you can adjust the font size up.  And the other is the audio text-to-speech option.  The Kindle will do text to speech, but you have to see if the particular title will support it.  Many titles do, just depends on the book.
