Title: Snowy Ride
Post by: Rico on December 20, 2010, 04:57:01 PM
So, had to stay a bit late at work today for a meeting.  And of course, late this afternoon snow moved into Rockford.  Got a few more inches so far.  Anyway, here's a quick cell phone pic when I came out to my ride after work.

I know the feeling Rico. We got below 0 a few weeks ago. And here's what I've been waking up to just about every morning.

Where do you live again Dan?  That doesn't look too different than up here in Rockford.

We got a bunch of snow lately where I live as well, been cold so none of it has melted. They cleared the roads yesterday, so now have a bunch of 5 foot high snow banks around the neighborhood

I live in Tri-Cities, WA. It usually isn't this cold or this snowy, or so I've been told.

I don't know what is more impressive,t he snow or the fact that you still have a Pontiac Fiero!

We ended up with about 5-6 inches last night.  Roads are pretty awful still, especially the side roads, etc.  Hope they clear more away before my drive home (probably tomorrow).

That's what I like about my area. I live right by Lake Ontario (about a 10 minute walk). Since we have lake effect it doesn't snow quite as much around my house as it does a bit farther north of the lake shore.

What?! I love my Fiero. Had it for almost 6 years now. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Looks like London at the start of the week. We've warmed to a point above freezing now, though, so a good proportion of the white stuff has melted away.

That's snow in December two years running which is pretty much unheard of round here.

Yes, but how many Pontiac Fieros do you have in London? :)

If I were to wager a guess I'd guess very few and definitely not one like mine (mine is one of kind).

I'd say none but there's bound to be someone, somewhere who's imported one.

They are really fun cars to drive. They also had one on the recent Top Gear US episode, it wasn't in as good condition as mine though.
