Looks like it will be visible over a good chunk of the planet.

Yep, should be cool. We had one last year as I recall, at least a partial. I'll be asleep, hoever for this one. :)

I am getting up around 3 to see what the sky looks like - if we are good I'll get the kids up to check it out.

Normally our skies are clear but it's been raining the past three days straight.. doubt will have clear skies.

I watched it on Nasa Ustream since it was rainy and cloudy here.. it was pretty cool.
