Wow, unbelievable. That's a 3d ready set too. Great price.
Yeah, but I have heard nothing but bad things about Muitsu's electronics. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
Bryan, we have a Mitsubishi 65" Diamond DLP and it's been pretty ok. Only issue we've had was the lamp, blew out after a little over a year. BUT, we had it on a lot (dog, loves Animal Planet...). :)
To me something like that going wrong after only a year of use is totally unacceptable. Were you covered for the repair?

Exactly, that's unacceptable IMO.
Still an awesome price. Heck for that price, pay for the extended warranty.
Heck no. Having spent time working in retail, I know how much money giant corporations make off selling extended warranties, and how they pressure and even penalize their employees to ensure they sell these "services". I will out of principle never buy an extended warranty on any product. I would rather smash a broken item with a sledgehammer and Fed Ex the pieces to the CEO than pay good money for absolutely nothing, which is what extended warranties basically are.
edit: whew sorry about that mini-rant...and certainly didn't mean to thread-hijack. It is indeed a good deal, hopefully the set lasts longer than a year!
Joby and Bryan, no, not unacceptable to me really. Lamps in DLP rear projection TV's only have so much life in them, per manufacturer specs. We truly put the max hours on it (like I said, we kept it on all day for our puppy, then had it on most of the evening). I don't blame Mitsubishi for our viewing habits.
Rico, for $600, I say go for it. For a 60" 3D ready HD DLP? Heck yeah. Even if you DON'T like it, you could resell for more than you paid, for sure.
I currently have a large screen Mitsubishi DLP TV and love it.. As for getting what you pay for that is true sometimes.. but not all of us are super rich and can afford a high price TV.. I got mine for $1000 and thought it was a deal.. only way I'd be able to afford a large screen.
I saw something similar on Friday and almost bought one.. but Harry reminded me that we really don't need another big screen TV :(
Oh - this TV isn't for me. I got a Sony LCD a few years back and am very happy with it. I just posted this to show a nice deal someone might want and also show how much prices have dropped on big screen, HDTV's.
Kenny...Harry said THAT?! That's just NONSENSE! OF COURSE we all NEED another big screen TV! :)

Yeah, on Principle I tell ppl to quit buying those stupid warranties. I have yet to have a product break between 1-3 years which is what they cover. Heck, I didn't buy the Apple extended care for my iPhone. If they do break, its either less than a year, or 3+ years later. So yes, its worthless.
