I have an opportunity to go see the opening of "A Christmas Carol" written and performed entirely in Klingonese this Saturday evening in the Chicagoland area. I will be interviewing the director afterwards (hopefully to be played on an upcoming podcast).
I have an extra ticket so if anyone in the Chicagoland area is interested, let me know. I am sure this is going to be awesome!
Sure wish I could be there this coming weekend with you buddy. But I'll be back home for the holidays. If you like it, maybe we can check it out again some weekend in December. Looking forward to your interview and comments about the show.
I truly wish I could be there with you RickPeete! That would be an awesome production, for sure!!
I will be doing a phone (Skype?) interview in the next few days. So if anyone has suggestions for questions to ask, please post them here. I want to have good open-ended questions for the director.
The director was interviewed on WGNTV in Chicago where they performed a short scene between Scrooge and The Spirit of Kahless Present.

For iPhone/iPad users: you can view it if you download the WGN app which has. Video section which currently includes this scene.

Very nice review Rick. I'd still like to see this.
I am up for seeing it again. Let's pick a date and time. I can't do it this weekend cuz I will be in Decatur to see my daughter in a choral performance at her University.
I'm surprised they get the audience they do but I guess it's different enough to draw a crowd. If it gets to London I could take my wife... OK, maybe not.
Neat interview on the podcast this week too!
Great stuff Rick.. hope it comes to LA or a near by city.
Going out to see this tonight with Rick Peete and his son. Should be a blast!
say hi to Rick and Ryan for me! AND HAVE AN AWESOME TIME!

So jealous.. have a FANTASTIC time!!!!
Saw this last night with Rick Peete. It was awesome! So unique and fun! Lots of very cool inside Trek touches. There were times while I was watching I kind of thought I was on the Enterprise watching a Klingon performance during the holidays. It was a packed house and the crown really "got it" too. I hope all of you get a chance to see this at some time. Here's a video from the Wall Street Journal to give you a good feel for the show.
